Ossama Mansour: The Safety and Clinical Efficacy of Endovascular Therapy in TVAI
Ossama Mansour, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a Semoha University Campus, Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, shared on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, adding:
”New paper: ‘Effectiveness and safety of endovascular therapy in patients with traumatic vertebral artery injury: A systematic review and meta-analysis.’
Traumatic vertebral artery injury (TVAI) presents a significant challenge in trauma and neurovascular care.
In this newly published systematic review and meta-analysis, our team rigorously evaluated the existing literature to determine the safety and clinical efficacy of Endovascular Therapy (EVT) for these patients.
Key highlights of our study:
- Comprehensive synthesis of current data on EVT for TVAI.
- Detailed analysis of safety profiles and clinical outcomes.
- Important insights to help guide neurosurgeons, trauma specialists, and interventionalists in complex decision-making.
A huge thank you to my co-authors and the editorial team for their hard work in bringing this research to light.”
