David Smadja: Exploring Endothelial Biology and Hemostasis for Innovation in Patient Care
David Smadja, Professor of Hematology (PU-PH) at Paris Cité University, European Georges Pompidou Hospital, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I would like to thank the RFHT – Francophone Review of Hemostasis and Thrombosis for the presentation of my team, Team 7 – INSERM UMR-S970 – Paris Cardiovascular Research Center – PARCC.
Our team develops translational research focused on endothelopathy and hemostasis disorders, at the interface between basic, clinical and technological innovation.
Our main areas include:
- Vascular biology and endothelial progenitor cells (ECFCs)
- New approaches to regenerative medicine Alexandre G. Lellouch
- Vascular and thromboinflammatory mechanisms, particularly in COVID-19 and Long COVID
- The pathophysiology of hemostasis diseases and in particular deep vein thrombosis Nicolas Gendron, Isabelle Mahé
- Hemocompatibility of circulatory support devices and artificial hearts
This recognition by the RFTH underlines the collective commitment of our team and our national and international collaborations.
Thank you to all the team members, clinical partners and researchers involved in this work.
In 2026 – on the road to new adventures, new innovations and a defense and promotion of science in the face of fake news, because this is also the responsibility of a researcher in the face of obscurantism!”
