Antoine Francis: Plasma is Not Just Another Component of Healthcare…
Antoine Francis, Founder of Global Plasma Supply LTD, has shared on LinkedIn:
”As someone who has spent my entire career in transfusion and plasma science, I cannot overstate how urgent and strategic this conversation has become.
Plasma is not just another component of healthcare.
It is a national resilience asset — a lifeline for patients with immune deficiencies, bleeding disorders, critical infections, and countless complex conditions.
Yet most countries still depend almost entirely on foreign donors for a resource their own citizens desperately need.
This GPS newsletter issue reflects what I see every day in this industry:
- Nations that invest in their own plasma infrastructure gain health security.
- Donors thrive when systems are structured, safe, transparent, and dignifying.
- Communities benefit economically and socially.
- Evidence — not ideology — must guide future plasma policy.
My position is simple:
- Every country should treat plasma as a strategic resource and build the capacity to protect its own patients.
This is why Global Plasma Supply LTD exists.
This is why we push forward.
And this is why I’ll keep advocating for modern, ethical, scientifically led plasma systems wherever they’re needed.
ALWAYS think DONATION
ALWAYS think LIFE”
