MMA Embolization for Chronic Subdural Hematoma: Advancing Minimally Invasive Neurointervention
Amit Bhatti, Consultant Interventional Neurologist at Wockhardt hospital Nagpur, posted on LinkedIn:
” I had the privilege of presenting our clinical experience with Middle Meningeal Artery (MMA) Embolization for Chronic Subdural Hematoma (CSDH) at the Maharashtra Association of Neurologists Conference.
I’m humbled that our work – and the outcomes we’ve been able to achieve for patients – was so warmly appreciated by peers and senior colleagues across the state.
CSDH remains a challenging condition, particularly in elderly and high-risk patients, and MMA embolization is emerging as a powerful, minimally invasive treatment option. Our series reinforces what global literature has increasingly shown –
– Reduced recurrence
– Fewer reoperations
– Faster recovery
– Improved quality of life
What makes this journey meaningful is not just the scientific progress but the impact it creates in restoring independence, dignity, and hope for patients and families.
Grateful to the organizing team of MAN Conference for the opportunity, to my mentors and colleagues for their constant support, and to my patients who place their trust in us every single day.
Excited to continue contributing to innovation in neurointervention and advancing stroke & brain health care in India.”
