Christopher C. Young: MMA Embolization Shows Promise for Cancer Patients With Chronic Subdural Hematoma

Christopher C. Young, Assistant Professor, Director of Endovascular Surgical Neuro-Oncology at UT MD Anderson, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, published in Cancers, adding:

“The unique nature of our practice at a referral cancer center – MMA embo for chronic subdural hematomas in patients with hematologic malignancies (leukemia/lymphoma and many s/p stem cell transplants), leads to improved continuation of cancer treatment and reduced platelet transfusion.

Excellent work published in Cancers led by our fellows Esteban Ramirez-Ferrer, Juan Pablo Zuluaga-Garcia.

Thank you to our collaborators.”
