Eithne Sexton: Our Interactive Dashboards for Future Stroke Projections at SPHeRE Conference

Eithne Sexton, Lecturer at Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), shared on LinkedIn about a recent article she and her colleagues co-authored, adding:

”New Interactive Dashboards: Future Stroke Projections for Ireland

Stroke numbers in Ireland are set to rise as the population ages.

To support planning across acute, rehabilitation, community and longer-term life after stroke services, we’ve launched a set of interactive dashboards.

These allow users to explore future stroke incidence, prevalence, disability and post‑stroke cognitive impairment under different scenarios.

Explore the dashboards.

Our team member Saoirse Duggan shared this work at the SPHeRE Conference today.

These tools are intended for policymakers, planners, clinicians, researchers and advocacy groups.

These dashboards are based on the StrokeCog epidemiological model, published in BMJ Open.

The dashboard development was funded by the HRB under KTA-2024-033”
