The Case for Greater Investment in VTE Research – JTH
Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis (JTH) shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article by Ryan Coute et al, adding:
“National Institutes of Health Funding for Venous Thromboembolism Research.
Despite VTE causing approximately 100,000 annual US deaths, NIH funding per death remains critically disproportionate at 639 dollars for VTE compared to 2,765 dollars for heart disease and 2,724 dollars for stroke, highlighting a significant research investment gap that urgently needs to be addressed.”
