An Unusual Case from Mohammed Ameen: Unexpected Clot Unmasking Antithrombin III Deficiency
Mohammed Ameen, General & Emergency Physician at Al Madina Medical Center, shared on LinkedIn:
”Alhamdulillah, I’m happy to share some great news!
I’m thrilled to share that my latest case report —“The Unexpected Clot: Unilateral Brachial Artery Occlusion Unmasking Antithrombin III Deficiency; Case Report and Therapeutic Considerations” —has been officially accepted for publication in Thrombosis Journal (BMC).
This case highlights a rare and diagnostically challenging presentation of antithrombin III deficiency, revealed through an unusual brachial artery occlusion.
It underscores the importance of clinical vigilance, early thrombophilia screening, and tailored anticoagulation strategies.
Publishing from Palestine continues to be a journey of persistence and purpose, and I’m proud to contribute to global medical literature from our region.
Thanks and appreciation for my esteemed colleagues who contributed to accomplishing this work with me (Amal Abo-Jheasha, Anas Ameen, Dr. Alia khalili, Orwa Zatari, Dr Raed Saeed)”
