Tooba Rehman: Pulsed Field Ablation versus Thermal Ablation in Atrial Fibrillation
Tooba Rehman, Medical Doctor, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article she and her colleagues co- authored, published in BMC Cardiovascular Disorders, adding:
“Excited to share that our latest research has been published in BMC Cardiovascular Disorders.
Efficacy and safety of pulsed field ablation versus conventional thermal techniques for atrial fibrillation: a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.
In this meta – analysis of 4 RCTs ( n equals one thousand two hundred ninety – four), we found that pulsed field ablation (PFA)
demonstrates comparable efficacy and safety to conventional thermal ablation techniques, with the added advantage of shorter procedural time.
Grateful to all co-authors and collaborators who contributed to this work.”
