Troels Wienecke: Connecting Myeloproliferative Disease and Ischemic Stroke
Troels Wienecke, Course Director of Clinical Course in Neurology and Neurosurgery at University of Copenhagen, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, published in Journal of the American Heart Association, adding:
“Would you like to connect the dots on Stroke and the JAK2V617F mutation?
The JAK2V617F is present in 11,3 percent of ischemic stroke patients and involved in thrombosis, inflammation, cancer and myeloproliferative disorders.
Have a look at the review from Marie Hvelplund Kristiansen.”
