Wei Du: New Therapeutic Potential for PARP Inhibitors in MLL-Rearranged Leukemia

Wei Du, Associate Professor at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center and University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, shared a post on LinekdIn about a recent article she and her colleagues co-authored, published in Nature Communications, adding:

“Excited to share our latest work, now published in Nature Communications!

In this study, we demonstrate that the Fanconi anemia pathway restrains MLL-rearranged leukemia by suppressing error-prone non-homologous end joining–mediated genomic instability.

Importantly, our findings also highlight the therapeutic potential of repurposing PARP inhibitors for this high-risk leukemia.
