”A major step forward for people living with hemophilia, and our very own Nathan Connell, MD, MPH, FACP, VLN Chair of Clinician Education, was one of the lead physicians behind this groundbreaking research.
A new gene therapy could reduce — or even eliminate — the need for regular infusions, giving patients more freedom in their daily lives.
This new approach delivers a functional gene to the liver, helping patients produce clotting factor IX—a protein that plays a critical role in the clotting process.
