Proper Emergency Severity Index Scoring Can Dramatically Improve Access to Medication

“Patients with sickle cell disease often wait hours for pain relief in the ER when triage doesn’t follow guidelines. Proper Emergency Severity Index (ESI) scoring can dramatically improve access to medication.”
