Amaliris Guerra: Driving True Innovation in Preclinical Drug Development Related to Iron-Metabolism and Inflammation is One of My Passions!
Amaliris Guerra, Research Scientist at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, shared on LinkedIn:
”Driving true innovation in preclinical drug development related to iron-metabolism and inflammation is one of my passions!
Using a systems approach, I am always striving to find non-derivative approaches to advance therapeutic pipelines.
Recently, I launched Integrity Science Support LLC, a consulting company focusing on designing and supporting studies that creatively bridge basic scientific discovery into sound clinical translation.
I am seeking to collaborate with biotech and industry leaders on pre-IND studies, leveraging extensive experience in mouse models, iron metabolism, gene therapy, and the design and analysis of combination therapies.
Over a decade, I have led and supported projects that have resulted in patented gene therapy platforms, advanced TGF-beta ligand trap therapeutics (including luspatercept analogs and their combinations), and pioneered new approaches to study iron distribution and transferrin biology in both erythropoiesis and immune regulation.
My latest work, published in Blood (PMID: 40512402), demonstrates how TNFα signaling restores steady-state hematopoiesis following inflammatory insult, underscoring the anti-inflammatory therapeutic potential of TNFα and highlighting important inflammation-iron interactions in hematologic contexts.
If your company is interested in expert guidance for preclinical studies, data analysis, or scientific communications assistance, please send me a direct message to discuss potential collaborations.
I would love to hear your ideas!”
