Vikas Dua: Heme Next 1.0 A Conference with a Difference
Vikas Dua, Principal Director and Head of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant at Fortis Memorial Research Institute Gurugram, shared on LinkedIn:
”Heme Next 1.0 A Conference with a Difference
Over the past weekend, we witnessed something truly special at Heme Next 1.0 a meeting that reimagined what a scientific conference can look like.
From the moment our humanoid host HemeBot took the stage, it was clear this wasn’t going to be just another academic gathering. We set out to showcase the future of hematology, oncology, and BMT and I’m proud that we delivered exactly that.
What inspired me the most was seeing the next generation of pediatric hematology and oncology come together with unmatched energy. Experts from across India, and even Singapore, shared cutting-edge insights on:
- Next-gen treatment strategies in pediatric and adult cancers
- CAR-T cell therapy updates
- Advances in genomics and precision diagnostics
- AI-driven decision support and clinical workflows
- Infectious disease innovations relevant to our field
The academic spirit was at its peak during the Intel Ignite Quiz, which saw enthusiastic participation from residents nationwide. Their curiosity, competitiveness, and brilliance made it a highlight of the event.
The brainstorming sessions were rich, bold, and forward-looking exactly what our specialty needs as we step into an era of transformative therapies.
Proud of our community. Proud of our vision. Proud of the future we are building for every child fighting cancer.
Thank you Dr Rahul Bhargava for the shared vision which envisaged in a way we never imagined.”

Keep up with Hemostasis Today.
