Renato Simonetti Presents a Pilot Project on AI-assisted Duplex Sonography for ICH
Renato Simonetti, Neurologist at Vall d’Hebron University Hospital, shared on LinkedIn:
”Today we officially registered a prospective pilot feasibility study evaluating Hyper-AI Scan (NCT07319013), an AI-assisted transcranial ultrasound approach for ultra-early intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) identification.
Early ICH identification remains unavailable in the prehospital and hyper-acute window, despite major implications for ICH-oriented management and care routing.
This study will assess feasibility, operability, and early diagnostic performance to inform subsequent multi-centre validation.
This work integrates clinical and AI engineering expertise, with technical development led by David González and Pere Canals , and with contributions from colleagues across neurology, neurosonology, and research nursing.
Further collaborations are ongoing as the project expands.”
