Mavis Agnes Kisakye: From Advocacy to Action Strengthening Care for Bleeding Disorders in Uganda
Mavis Agnes Kisakye, Health Officer, EVD Response at Uganda Red Cross Society, shared a post on LinkedIn:
”It is always nice to revisit the invaluable insights from our advocacy training facilitated by the Novo Nordisk Haemophilia Foundation (NNHF). These sessions continue to serve as a vital reference point for our team as we push harder than ever to meet our strategic goals for the bleeding disorders community in Uganda.
The captured moments reflect the heart of our mission, showing our members clearly highlighting the systemic challenges we face and the collective determination of the team to find sustainable solutions. It is particularly inspiring to see our youth taking the lead, standing up to support their peers and ensuring that the next generation of leaders is equipped with the tools to advocate for their own health and financial independence.
Advocacy is not just about identifying the problems but about the relentless pursuit of a roadmap that brings specialized care to every corner of the country. We remain committed to this journey, fueled by the knowledge shared during our training and the resilient spirit of the families we serve.”
