Ilenia Calcaterra: Study on Platelet TF–TFPI Imbalance in Hemophilia A Accepted at ISTH 2026
Ilenia Calcaterra, Consultant Physician in Internal Medicine and Assistant Professor at the University of Naples Federico II, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I am honored to share that our work has been selected for an oral presentation at ISTH 2026.
Our study focuses on the role of platelet tissue factor–TFPI imbalance in thrombin generation in Hemophilia A, exploring underlying pathophysiological mechanisms.
Understanding disease is not only about observing clinical outcomes, but about uncovering the biological processes that drive them.
A special thank you to Marina Camera for her guidance and for introducing me to cytometric analyses in her laboratory, an experience that has been fundamental in shaping this work.
Grateful for the opportunity to contribute and looking forward to the discussion.”
