Marie-Claire Kofi: Poster Highlights the Process of Establishing the Sickle Cell Transitions Policy Lab
Marie-Claire Kofi, Chief Executive Officer at Plasma of Hope, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“As co-chair of the Sickle Cell Transitions Policy Lab with ERN-EuroBloodNet (European Reference Network on Rare Hematological Diseases) European Sickle Cell Federation (ESCF), we are delighted to share that our poster will be presented at ECRD 2026 in Prague, one of Europe’s leading rare disease conferences.
Miriam Santos Freire will be presenting this poster and I look forward to supporting her as co-chair.
Our poster highlights the process of establishing the Sickle Cell Transitions Policy Lab, a participatory models bringing together patients, patient advocates, healthcare professionals and policymakers from 11 European countries.
As part of our work, we have co-developed and launched a framework to support an optimal transition from paediatric to adult care for young people living with sickle cell disease.
We will be answering questions about the poster on Wednesday 3 June from 3:30pm to 4:30pm CET and also be presenting at the poster pitch session on Thursday 4 June at 11am.
If you are attending ECRD and are interested to learn more, please do join these sessions.
Thank you to Novo Nordisk and Pfizer for their support in developing the Charter and helping amplify the voices of people living with sickle cell disease.”
