Jordan Harry’s Conversation on Cancer and Clot Risk with Thrombosis Canada
Jordan Harry, Summer Research Assistant at Providence Care, shared a proud post on LinkedIn:
“Just Released — My Conversation on Cancer and Clot Risk with Thrombosis Canada
I recently had the opportunity to join CLOT Conversations, a podcast by Thrombosis Canada, to talk about our recent research on cancer-associated thrombosis – a serious but often overlooked complication in oncology care.
In the episode, we cover:
-Which solid cancers carry the highest risk of VTE
-How sex and geography influence risk
-What this means for patient care and what needs to change
This work was made possible by an incredible team: Regan Bucciol, Deirdre Finnigan, Hussein Hashem, and Ahmad Alaraki, MBBS. Thank you for your insight and dedication throughout the project.
A special thanks to Dr. Maha Othman MD MSc PhD., whose mentorship and guidance
made this work possible from day one.
Grateful to Thrombosis Canada for the opportunity to share our findings, and to St. Lawrence College and Queen’s University for supporting this work.”
