Mavis Agnes Kisakye: Why Patient Identification Begins with an Informed Community
Mavis Agnes Kisakye, Executive Director of Haemophilia Foundation of Uganda, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“At the Hemophilia Foundation of Uganda (HFU), we believe that patient identification begins with an informed community. Misconceptions surrounding bleeding disorders often delay critical diagnosis, increase stigma, and limit access to life-saving care.
Our teams remain actively on the ground across Uganda, driving community-led education campaigns to disseminate accurate clinical knowledge, dispel deep-rooted myths, and empower communities.
Many thanks to Novo Nordisk Haemophilia and Haemoglobinopathies Foundation for supporting these initiatives.”
