Wolfgang Miesbach: Celebrating Pantep Angchaisuksiri’s Transformative Leadership of the ISTH
Wolfgang Miesbach, Professor of Medicine at Frankfurt University Hospital, shared on Linkedin:
”This week in Paris, Pantep Angchaisuksiri hands over the ISTH presidency after two years that truly moved our Society forward.
He brought the ISTH Congress to Asia for the very first time (Bangkok 2024), opening our field to colleagues across the Asia-Pacific and in low- and middle-income countries.
Through difficult times alike, he steered with a quiet steadiness — fair, thoughtful, and always putting the community first.
Pantep, you leave the ISTH stronger, wider and more global. Thank you for everything.
Looking forward to Wolfram Ruf as our incoming President and warm congratulations to Mary Cushman as President-Elect.
The future of our Society looks bright!”
