Akhil Antony Konkoth: Galectin-9 Emerges as a Key Mediator of Venous Thromboinflammation
Akhil Antony Konkoth, Research Fellow (BHF) in Cardiovascular Sciences at University of Birmingham, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Very pleased to have presented my postdoctoral research at ISTH 2026 in Paris International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) on Galectin-9-mediated platelet activation and thromboinflammation in venous thrombosis.
I am sincerely grateful to my mentors, Asif Iqbal, Julie Rayes, Alexander Brill, and Ed Rainger for their invaluable guidance, support, and encouragement throughout this work.
It was a wonderful opportunity to share our findings, engage with researchers from around the world, and discuss the latest advances in thromboinflammation research.”
