Sara Buonomo: Predicting Relapse in Immune-Mediated TTP at ISTH 2026
Sara Buonomo, PhD Student in Haematology and Doctoral Candidate at University of Bern, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article she and her colleagues co-authored, published in Blood Vessels, Thrombosis and Hemostasis, adding:
“I am delighted to share that I will present a poster (PB1097) at the 34th Annual Congress of the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis ISTH 2026 in Paris this Sunday 12th July at 13:45 – 14:45 CEST.
Title: Longitudinal profiling of platelet factor 4 suggests platelet activation precedes clinical relapse in immune-mediated thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura.
In this poster we are reporting the results from our newest publication on the role of NETs in iTTP, as well as new results from a longitudinal analysis of PF4 plasma levels in iTTP patients.”
Title: NETs contribute to acute episodes but not ADAMTS13 relapses in immune-mediated thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura
