Nahid A. Qushmaq: Science, Collaboration, and Inspiration at ISTH 2026
Nahid A. Qushmaq, General Supervisor Assistant for Medical Support Services, Consultant Adult Hematology of Thrombosis and Hemostasis, Head Of Research and Development Department at King Abdullah Medical Complex – Jeddah, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Five inspiring days at ISTH 2026 came to an end yesterday.
It was a privilege to be in Paris, a global capital of science, where experts in thrombosis and hemostasis from around the world gathered to exchange knowledge, share experiences, inspire one another, and build meaningful collaborations.
The congress featured outstanding scientific sessions, showcasing exciting advances that will continue to shape the future of thrombosis care.
One of the highlights of the meeting was reconnecting with my mentor, Professor Jeff Weitz, and with respected colleagues and friends, including Dr. Peter Gross, Dr. X. Long Zheng, and many others. These conversations and exchanges are among the most valuable aspects of scientific meetings.
It was equally inspiring to witness distinguished colleagues being recognized and honored for their outstanding contributions to the field. Their achievements are a testament to years of dedication, scientific excellence, and commitment to advancing patient care.
I leave Paris with renewed inspiration, new ideas, strengthened collaborations, and lasting memories.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to making ISTH 2026 such a successful and memorable congress.
Until we meet again, ISTH!”
