Pablo Albasanz-García, Doctoral Student at Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Just back from a wonderful time in Paris at the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) 2026!
From the more formal oral sessions to the networking breaks, I found it quite inspiring to see how our international community is structured and assembled.
Really a great way to connect with new people, as well as to get to know our own team in a different setting.
Research can often feel quite isolated, so it was amazing to be reminded that there’s a whole world out there to explore, and many interesting conversations to be had.
Indeed, it felt so rewarding to share the research I’ve done during my PhD so far as a poster; thank you to the abstract reviewers for choosing mine and to and everyone who stopped by!
I’m coming back to Dublin full of curiosity, pain au chocolat and most importantly, joie de vivre!”
