Jayr Schmidt Filho: Real-World Brazilian Data Reveal Inequalities in MDS Care
Jayr Schmidt Filho, Head of Hematology, Hemotherapy and Cell Therapy department at A.C.Camargo Cancer Center, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, published in Blood Global Hematology, adding:
“Very happy to share another publication from our A.C.Camargo Cancer Center Hematology group in Blood Global Hematology, one of the journals of Blood Journals Portfolio and American Society of Hematology.
The study brings real-world Brazilian data and highlights important inequalities between the public and private systems in the care of myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), especially in the time to diagnosis, access to molecular tests and contemporary therapies.
More than demonstrating these differences, generating real-world Brazilian data is essential for us to understand where the gaps are and contribute to increasingly equitable hematological care.
Congratulations Arthur Braga and Marina De Mattos Nascimento for this contribution!”
