“Looking for collaborators – network meta-analysis in venous thromboembolism.
I’m working on a systematic review and network meta-analysis of anticoagulation strategies in VTE, covering both the acute treatment phase and extended secondary prevention.
Where it stands: 23 randomised trials across the two networks. Frequentist NMA (netmeta) complete for the acute phase, Bayesian NMA (gemtc/JAGS) running in parallel, risk-of-bias assessment drafted, and study characteristics extracted.
Where I’d value help:
- A second independent reviewer for Risk of Bias 2 and screening – methodologically required, and currently the main bottleneck
- CINeMA / GRADE certainty-of-evidence assessment
- Anyone comfortable with Bayesian NMA – particularly inconsistency diagnostics and heterogeneity priors in sparse networks
- Clinical input from thrombosis, haematology or vascular medicine
Authorship will follow ICMJE criteria, discussed openly and agreed in writing before anyone commits time.
