“This week in Ho Chi Minh City, Abbott Transfusion Medicine Asia-Pacific, together with our host partner Blood Transfusion Hematology Hospital (BTH), had the privilege of bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, blood services, and partners from across Asia Pacific through the Asia-Pacific Plasma Leaders’ Network (APPLN) and the Asia Pacific Scientific Summit.

Across both forums, one message stood out clearly: we are entering a new era of blood services.

An era where innovation, automation and digital transformation are enabling faster, smarter and safer blood systems.
An era where stronger plasma ecosystems can enhance self-sufficiency and expand access to life-changing therapies.
And an era where donor care evolves beyond recruitment to creating meaningful experiences that foster lifelong engagement.

As we celebrate 10 years of the Asia-Pacific Scientific Summit and 5 years of APPLN, I am inspired not only by the progress we have made, but also by the possibilities ahead and the impact we can create together.
