Gene Therapy for Glanzmann Thrombasthenia – Glanzmann’s Research Foundation

“We’re revisiting a promising 2025 study that offers a hopeful look at the future of Glanzmann Thrombasthenia gene therapy.
Researchers successfully used gene transfer to increase production of the platelet receptor affected by GT in human cells.
Although this was laboratory research, the findings support the next step: testing the approach in stem cells from people with GT.
