Christoph B. Olivier: Rapid Platelet Inhibition in Acute Coronary Syndromes

Christoph B. Olivier, Head of the Clinical Trials Unit, UHZ Freiburg, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, published in European Heart Journal. Acute Cardiovascular Care:

“I am glad to share our upcoming paper ‘Injectable antiplatelet therapies in acute coronary syndromes: Current status and Emerging Therapies’.

This review provides a complete overview of parenteral antiplatelet management in ACS:

Parenteral P2Y12 inhibitors and GPIIb/IIIa inhibitors: Instantaneous platelet inhibition when oral route absorption is delayed or unviable.

Pre-hospital administration: Potential clinical benefits of early subcutaneous candidates.

Clinical decision-making: Practical timing, dosing strategies, and safety considerations in acute settings.

Proud to work alongside first author Uwe Zeymar and all the co-authors Sogol Koolaji, Diego Araiza Garaygordobil,Peter  Clemmensen, Mario Gramegna , Konstantin Krychtiuk, Andrea Rubboli, Benedikt Schrage, Christophe Vandenbriele, Kurt Huber and Diana Gorog.”
