Evaluating Inhibitor Risk Following Factor Product Switches – Results from ATHN 2

American Thrombosis and Hemostasis Network (ATHN) shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article published in Haemophilia, adding:

“New ATHN research published in Haemophilia provides important real-world evidence on factor product switching.

The ATHN 2: Factor Switching Study found no new inhibitor development among previously treated people with hemophilia A or B following a factor product switch among participants with evaluable follow-up.

Thank you to the participants, investigators, and ATHN-affiliated sites who made this work possible.

We are especially grateful for the contributions of the late Dr. Janna Journycake, Co-PI of ATHN 2.

Janna’s scientific leadership, dedication, and vision were an important part of this work and of the foundation upon which ATHN 2 was built.

Her impact continues to be felt today, and we are honored to recognize her enduring legacy through this publication and the work that continues because of it.”
