Reza Shojaei: 5 Leadership Responsibilities for a Sustainable Plasma Ecosystem
Reza Shojaei, Chief Operating Officer at Canadian Plasma Resources, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“What should plasma leaders commit to during International Plasma Awareness Week?
Every donor deserves our thanks. That gratitude must carry into the decisions we make about donor safety, collection capacity and access to treatment.
I believe our responsibility extends across the entire pathway: from the person donating plasma to the patient depending on the medicine it makes possible.
This matters especially where patients remain undiagnosed, collection infrastructure is limited, and usable plasma never reaches fractionation.
In this carousel, I share five leadership responsibilities for a sustainable plasma ecosystem:
- Protect the donor
- Build collection capacity
- Protect patient access
- Strengthen public understanding
- Think globally.
Which responsibility needs the most attention in your country or organization?”
