“The abstract of our work presented at ISTH 2026 has been published in RPTH Journal
In this series, recombinant factor VIII showed a longer half-life than plasma-derived factor VIII, although there were important differences between patients.
In patients with severe haemophilia A treated at Hospital Sótero del Río in Santiago, Chile, these findings support individual pharmacokinetic assessment with WAPPS-Hemo, particularly after switching concentrates, to better adjust doses and dosing intervals.
This work was conducted with Antonio Ibarra Quezada, Magaly Cruces Ortiz, and José Luis Lamas.”
