Building Bridges for Better Childhood Cancer Care
The Ethiopian Society of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology (ESPHO) was pleased to be represented by Dr. Hiyaw Abebe Bekele, Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Subspecialist, at MAX Cancer Congress 2026 in Mumbai, India.
The congress provided a valuable platform for scientific exchange, knowledge sharing, professional networking, and international collaboration with colleagues in oncology from around the world.
As part of the visit, Dr. Hiyaw also had the opportunity to visit Nanavati Max Super Specialty Hospital, engage with members of the medical team, learn from their clinical environment, and explore opportunities for future professional and institutional collaboration.
For ESPHO, participation in international scientific and professional forums is an important opportunity to strengthen connections, exchange expertise, and build partnerships that can contribute to advancing pediatric hematology and oncology in Ethiopia.
