Micheal Avoseh: Nanoparticle Research for Venous Thrombosis
Micheal Avoseh, Doctoral Researcher at University of South Carolina Floyd School of Medicine, shared a post on LinkedIn:
”I’m excited to share that our research proposal, ‘Endothelial-Targeted Vadadustat-Loaded Nanoparticles to Accelerate Venous Thrombus Resolution’, has been approved as a user project at the Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies (CINT), a U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science user facility.
Venous thrombosis remains a significant clinical challenge, and developing more effective strategies to promote thrombus resolution is an important area of research.
Our project explores the potential of targeted nanoparticle-based drug delivery to influence the vascular environment and improve thrombus resolution.
Through this opportunity, we look forward to leveraging CINT’s advanced nanotechnology capabilities and scientific expertise to further investigate this approach.
I’m grateful to my PI, Colin E Evans, collaborators, Mihee Kim, Demosthenes (Dean) Morales, III and the CINT team for their support and for the opportunity to advance this work.
Looking forward to the discoveries, challenges, and collaborations ahead!”
