Shannon Farmer, Honorary Research Fellow in Haematology at Royal Perth Hospital, shared a post on LinkedIn:
”Friday 20 November 2026
The World Health Organization has called for the urgent implementation of Patient Blood Management (PBM) and blood health as the global standard of care. PBM is evolving rapidly – and the next phase will depend on collaboration, innovation and practical action across the entire continuum of care.
Join leading clinicians, researchers and PBM professionals from Australia, New Zealand and around the world for a one-day workshop exploring the latest developments in patient blood management, from major surgery, trauma and emergency care through to primary care, digital resources, nursing and national policy, and help shape the establishment of an Australia and New Zealand Society for Patient Blood Management.”
