Sarra Hmidi: Tunisia Highlights Thrombosis Prevention on World Thrombosis Day
Sarra Hmidi, Pharmacy Intern at Maternity and Neonatology Center, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“World Thrombosis Day | Raising awareness, protecting lives.
On the occasion of World Thrombosis Day, we took part in an initiative that brought together healthcare awareness and cultural heritage in a meaningful way.
The historic Ribat of Monastir was illuminated in blue and red, transforming one of Tunisia’s most iconic landmarks into a symbol of solidarity and awareness.
Through this initiative, we aimed to draw attention to thrombosis, the importance of prevention, the early recognition of warning signs, and timely medical care, while sharing the beauty of our heritage with the wider world.
Beyond this remarkable initiative, we also marked this important day at the Hematology Laboratory of the Monastir Center for Maternity and Neonatology, coming together around a shared mission: promoting awareness of thrombosis and emphasizing the vital role of healthcare professionals in prevention and patient care.
This experience reminded us that raising awareness goes beyond words.
It takes commitment, collaboration, and creative initiatives to bring essential health messages closer to the community.
Proud to have been part of this initiative, combining science, community engagement, and cultural identity in support of a cause that matters.
One cause, one shared commitment: raising awareness and protecting lives.”
