What if the key to understanding cancer progression lies in the smallest cells circulating in our blood?
I’m pleased to share my new book, Platelet Receptors at the Crossroads of Hemostasis and Metastasis: Molecular Mechanisms and Therapeutic Opportunities.
This book explores the fascinating intersection of platelet biology and cancer, revealing how platelets contribute to tumor growth, metastatic dissemination, angiogenesis, and immune evasion. It provides an integrated perspective on platelet receptor–mediated mechanisms and emerging therapeutic strategies targeting receptors such as αIIbβ3, GPVI, P-selectin, P2Y12, PAR1, CLEC-2, and PD-L1.
Beyond unraveling the molecular mechanisms underlying platelet–tumor interactions, this book examines the therapeutic potential of targeting platelet-driven pathways to develop innovative anticancer strategies, with particular attention to minimizing bleeding-related risks.
