Isaac James: Zoster Vaccine Response in MPN Patients on JAK Inhibitors
Isaac James, Intern Doctor at Health Service Executive, shared a post LinkedIn:
”I was delighted to present my final-year research project at the Haematology Association of Ireland (HAI) Annual Meeting 2026 in Cork.
My project, ‘Assessing Recombinant Zoster Vaccine Response in Myeloproliferative Neoplasm Patients Receiving JAK Inhibitor Therapy,’ explored the immunogenicity and tolerability of the recombinant zoster vaccine in this patient population.
Working on this project at Mercy University Hospital under the supervision of Dr Clodagh Keohane and Professor Mary Cahill was a valuable opportunity to develop my research skills and explore an important area of supportive care in haematology.
It was a pleasure to share our findings, learn from the work of others and engage with clinicians and researchers working to improve patient care.
Thank you to my supervisors, the team at Mercy University Hospital and the HAI for the opportunity to present at this year’s meeting.”
