Nicolas Hubacz: The Organized Chaos of Mitochondria
Nicolas Hubacz, Founder of NH Sponsorships and Clinical Products US West Business Development Manager at Magstim, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“The Organized Chaos of Mitochondria
In this video, mitochondria glow orange around blue-stained nuclei, revealing a dynamic network within living cells. These organelles help convert energy from nutrients into ATP, the molecule that powers most cellular work.
But mitochondria do much more than produce energy:
- They continually fuse and divide, helping maintain their function and adapt to changing cellular demands.
- They carry their own DNA, a legacy of their evolutionary origins as bacteria.
- They help regulate calcium signaling and programmed cell death.
A beautiful glimpse of the activity happening inside our cells.
This constant movement and remodeling helps mitochondria distribute energy where it’s needed, share components, and separate damaged sections for removal, supporting the health and function of the entire cell.”
