Mavis Agnes Kisakye: Raising Awareness about Haemophilia and Other Blood Disorders at Luweero General Hospital
Mavis Agnes Kisakye, Executive Director of Haemophilia Foundation of Uganda, Health Officer, EVD Response at Uganda Red Cross Society, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Today, we had the privilege of raising awareness about haemophilia and other blood disorders at Luweero General Hospital, joined by medical students.
Building awareness among future and frontline healthcare providers is key to closing the diagnostic gap, improving early intervention, and ensuring timely management for individuals living with blood disorders across Uganda.
We are grateful to Novo Nordisk Haemophilia and Haemoglobinopathies Foundation for sponsoring these initiatives, the team at Luweero General Hospital and the enthusiastic medical students who joined us in this vital outreach.
Together, we are building a more informed and responsive health ecosystem!”
