Kevon Dindial: Collaboration for Better Childhood Cancer Outcomes
Kevon Dindial, Chairman of the Children’s Life Fund Authority at Ministry of Health Trinidad and Tobago Official, shared a post on LinkedIn:
”Collaboration for Better Childhood Cancer Outcomes
Outcomes for children with cancer vary significantly between high-income and low- and middle-income countries.
Collaboration is key to building capacity, strengthening healthcare systems, and improving outcomes for these children.
I am truly grateful to the American Society of Hematology (ASH) and the SickKids-Caribbean Initiative (SCI) for their continued commitment to improving outcomes for children with cancer across the English-speaking Caribbean.
Today, we held our annual Children’s International Consortium on Acute Leukemia (CICAL) Conference in Barbados.
This important meeting provides an opportunity to reflect on the progress we have made, share experiences, and develop strategies to continue building capacity, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring the sustainability of high-quality childhood cancer care across the Caribbean.
Together, through collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and a shared commitment to excellence, we can continue working towards a future where every child with cancer has access to the best possible care, regardless of where they live.”
