Dino Mehic, Physician Scientist at Medical University of Vienna, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“PhD Opportunity in Platelet Biology and Bleeding Disorders!
When routine tests look normal, what is causing the bleeding?
We are excited to announce a PhD position at the Medizinische Universität Wien, within the Thrombosis and Haemostasis Research Group Vienna led by Cihan Ay.
The project will be co supervised by Prof.
Alice Assinger from the Institute of Vascular Biology and Thrombosis Research.
Building on the the Vienna Bleeding Biobank led by Johanna Gebhart, our project aims to uncover hidden platelet dysfunction in patients with unexplained bleeding, using advanced flow cytometry, microscopy, microfluidics and multi omics approaches.
The position offers an interdisciplinary research environment, international collaborations and opportunities for research visits and specialized training.”
