Francis Couturaud: Leela Breton Presents Promising PE Research at ISTH 2026

”It was so great to met Leela Breton during ISTH – International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis meeting in Paris.
Leela obtained her Licence Thesis in a partnership between McMaster Faculty of Science and CHU – Brest University Hospital, University of Western Brittany a couple of years ago working on VTE.
As a resident in surgery in The University of British Columbia Vancouver today, she continue to develop clinical trials on VTE.
Today, she presented the results on a simplified algorithm to diagnose PE combining D-dimer adjusted on clinical probability and age in 700 patients.
I am so proud of of you Leela!
