Frits Rosendaal Is The 2026 Recipient of the ISTH Robert P. Grant Medal
International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) shared a post on LinkedIn:
”The ISTH is pleased to announce Frits Rosendaal, M.D., Ph.D., as the 2026 recipient of the ISTH Robert P. Grant Medal.
As the highest award of the ISTH, the Grant Medal honors an individual who has made significant lifetime contributions to the field of thrombosis and hemostasis.
It reflects a career of excellence, innovation and service to the community, and recipients are widely regarded as having had a lasting impact on both the ISTH and the broader field.
Rosendaal is a Professor in the Department of Clinical Epidemiology at Leiden University Medical Center in Leiden, the Netherlands.
He has had a long and distinguished history with the ISTH, serving as a member of the ISTH Council from 2002-2018, including serving as Council Chair (now called ISTH President) from 2008-2010 and as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis (JTH) from 2013-2018.
Rosendaal was President of the ISTH Congress in Amsterdam in 2013 and previously received the ISTH Distinguished Career BACH Award in 2005”
