Isabella Presch: ASH 2026 ITP Guidelines – Beyond Platelet Counts
Isabella Presch, Senior Medical Director Rare diseases, Advanced therapies and Pediatrics at Fortrea, shared a post on LinkedIn:
”Patients don’t measure success by platelet counts alone, but by the ability to live their lives with confidence.
The updated American Society of Hematology 2026 ITP Guidelines place greater emphasis on reducing steroid burden, improving durable responses, and incorporating patient preferences into treatment decisions.
It’s an important step toward care that focuses not only on disease control, but also on quality of life, daily functioning, and outcomes that matter most to patients.”
