Julie Vassart: Optimizing DOAC Detection in an Evolving Anticoagulant Landscape at ISTH 2026

“I am delighted to share that I will present three posters at the 34th Annual Congress of the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH 2026) in Paris.

PB1279: Impact of clinically relevant plasma thresholds for edoxaban on DOAC Dipstick performance.

This poster examines how the plasma thresholds used to define clinically relevant edoxaban levels affect the performance of the DOAC Dipstick, a point-of-care urine test designed to detect direct factor Xa inhibitors (DXI) and direct thrombin inhibitors (DTI).

PB1216: Impact of the prevalence of clinically relevant edoxaban plasma levels on DOAC Dipstick performance.

This second poster showcases how the prevalence of clinically relevant edoxaban plasma levels influences the performance of the DOAC Dipstick, thereby highlighting the impact of the clinical setting and adherence to DOAC therapy on this point-of-care test.

PB2823: Interference of abelacimab and osocimab with routine and specific coagulation assays.

This poster documents the impact of abelacimab (a monoclonal antibody that blocks FXI in an inactive conformation) and osocimab (an FXIa inhibitor) on a panel of routine and specific laboratory coagulation assays.
