Lara Bloom: Building Momentum for Rare Diseases
Lara Bloom, President and CEO at The Ehlers-Danlos Society, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“A wonderful few days at the Rare Diseases International conference in Nairobi.
There is something so energising about bringing together people from around the world who share a common purpose, especially when over the many years of working in this field those people are dear friends and colleagues.
Beyond the conference itself, I even managed to squeeze in a safari and was lucky enough to see a dazzle of zebras in the wild.
A pretty unforgettable reminder of Kenya’s incredible beauty.
I am blown away by how kind and hospitable everyone I have encountered here has been.
Thank you to RDI for bringing us all together.
I leave feeling inspired by the people I’ve met, the partnerships we’ve strengthened, and the momentum we’re building together to create a better future for everyone living with a rare disease.”
