Louise St. Germain Bannon: Honouring the People and Partnerships Behind ISTH 2026
Louise St. Germain Bannon, Interim Executive Director at International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH), shared on LinkedIn:
”As ISTH 2026 comes to a close, I’m leaving Paris with an overwhelming sense of gratitude.
To everyone who traveled from around the world to share your science, ask thoughtful questions, reconnect with colleagues and build new collaborations, thank you.
You are the reason our community continues to advance the field of thrombosis and hemostasis and, ultimately, improve the lives of patients everywhere.
Congratulations to all of our award recipients, and especially to Dr. David Lillicrap on receiving the Fundamental Research Award during today’s Final Plenary Session.
Your extraordinary contributions to research, education and mentorship have advanced our field and inspired generations of clinicians and scientists.
It was a privilege to celebrate this well-deserved recognition.
A heartfelt thank you also to our volunteers, faculty, Council, committees, exhibitors, industry partners and the incredible ISTH staff whose dedication made this Congress possible. What happens over these few days is the result of months of planning, teamwork and a shared commitment to excellence.
Thank you, Paris, for an unforgettable week. Safe travels to everyone heading home, and I look forward to seeing the conversations, collaborations and discoveries from ISTH 2026 continue long after Congress ends.”
